On Wednesday morning, February 7, the Magothy River froze all the way across here at Lake Placid. We had a light snow over night, only an inch or so, and winds were calm. Temperatures were in the low teens all day yesterday. Later in the day the wind picked up and broke up the thin layer of ice. -S

Crap, I didn't winterize my boat. It's on the Rhode. Should I be worried?
Depends on how it's powered, Lonnie. I never winterized in Tennessee and we had cold snaps similar to this one. If it's an inboard, I would be more concerned because of the water in the risers. Even then, there are freeze out plugs so all may not be lost. Give her a good look over in the spring. Good luck! -Shawn
